Our School Taekwondo team participated in the Khelo India competitions conducted by Sports Authority of India and grabbed a handful of medals in District, State and National level competitions conducted in Vuyyuru, Tirupathi and Chennai. This Khelo India was inaugurated by our sports minister Vijay Goel not only to promote sports at grass-root level but also to help create sports infrastructure in the country. It will provide a platform to the budding talents to compete at national level. Talent identification would also be done in the process for grooming them to achieve excellence at international level. After District level competitions, Gold medal and Silver medal winners had given training for 10 days in Tirupathi by Sports Authority of India.
Among these kids SHEIK CHAN BASHA, SIROLU SANJANA , KIMIDI MADHU, KONA GURU SAI PAVAN and PALLI HEMANTH parcipated in the National level competitions in Chennai. Our Taekwondo coach was specially congratulated by our principal M.Lakshmi Tulasi for his dedication and encouragement to the kids. Smt. Gadde Anuradha, ZP Chairman, Krishna District and the district and state authorities congratulated the winners.
